The Minstrels
Amanda
A certified wench, Amanda is also the only untrained musician in the group.  Raised in New Jersey and educated in North Carolina, Amanda has spent the last five years in Columbus earning her masters and PhD in Political Science. When she is not working on her dissertation, affectionately called the Sarlaac, she is mocking the most beloved of madrigals and Renaissance faire songs, juggling, knitting, or practicing her bellydancing and yoga.  She has discovered that her skills in acting, stage combat, speaking in a British accent, and knowledge of renaissance history and customs are actually rather useless in earning a PhD, and consoles herself by playing with her three cats and fighting monsters in World of Warcraft.
Brian
As with all other members of Minstrelry, Brian has three (four? something like that) years of performance experience with the Medieval and Renaissance Guild at OSU, the first, best, and only outlet he's found to date for deep-seated historical and fantastical performance desires.  A classically trained violinist, music has been a part of Brian's life since he's been alive.  While growing up he performed with his family, branching from classical into old-time fiddle, bluegrass, and other genres; during this time he also gained familiarity with instruments other than the violin, including guitar, mandolin, and hammered dulcimer; his exposure to period performance prompted excursions into recorders and concertinas.  His non-musical interests lie with literature, and Brian reads avidly in fantasy with exploration into historic and classic literature, plus works of liberal social and economic commentary.  Brian supports these habits through one part-time job with the largest corporate bookseller in the United States plus a second part-time job with the top-ranked Columbus Metropolitan Library.
Cathy
The newest member of Minstrelry, Cathy also started as a member of the OSU Medieval and Renaissance Performers' Guild.  Since then she has not only developed a love for improv acting but for stage fighting as well.  She has been scripting fights for college and community acting groups for over three years, and is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors.
In her spare time, Cathy is an aspiring voice actress and sound editor/producer, lending her talents to several podcasts and audio dramas, as well as for promos and radio dramas on WCBE 90.5 FM Columbus.
Meg
Meg began her acting career with the OSU Medieval and Renaissance Performers' Guild while completing a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Dance performance.  Meghan's first love is the study and recreation of period dance, followed closely by her other first loves: singing, playing the cello, reading, and generally acting completely crazy.  She is very happy to have this collection of souls with whom to perform while she tries in vain to figure out What, Who, and Where, exactly, she wants to be when she "grows up."
Mike
Mike would like to note that he is, in fact, a penguin... until further notice.
